I had the same problem with a copy downloaded by an associate. During the download process, some of the names were slightly changed. It seems that Cap'n does not check for failure on some of his I/O. You end up getting trash on your screen. My Mac seemed wedged until I invoked the crash-saver. Try peeking at the documents that come with CM. One gives the names of all files included in the posting. Adjust names accordingly.
