Format a 800k disk and put a system folder on it. Put this disk in your external drive. Start hard copy and put the protected disk you wish to copy in the internal drive. When asked where to copy, you select the disk in the external drive and the program will copy the entire copy protected disk minus its system folder onto your 800k external which it thinks is a hard disk. This will only work with certain copy protected programs. I know of no other way unless Copy Mac II has come out with a newer versionay unless Copy Mac II has come out with a newer version which will take a 400K copy protected disk and copy it and others to an 800K disk.
