Dyer Computer Consulting, Cambridge MA Lines: 13 Are the session-layer protocols which are used by the IBM PC Network program to provide network virtual disk sharing and print spooling published in any reference? Netbios, at least after reading through the PC Network Technical Reference, is at too low a level, describing only the methods of managing virtual circuits and sending data across VCs and datagrams. What I want is a description of the commands sent across the network to read and write disk files and remote devices (for UNIX types, "NFS" rather than a description of the socket interface.) -- Steve Dyer dyer@harvard.HARVARD.EDU {bbncca,bbnccv,harvard,ima,ihnp4}!spdcc!dyer
