Most of it has been for the AT&T machines. Is there a tried-and-true method for doing it on an IBM machine? Would the method be the same? I am using an IBM XT with the stock 10 MB disk. I replace the stock controller board when it gave out. I now use a Datatech board. Would the method be specific to the machine, DOS, disk, or controller board? I found no option to do this in the XT's Advanced Diagnostics disk. Tom Reingold Rockefeller University New York City {seismo|ihnp4}!cmcl2!rna!rocky2!reintom
