I have on my desk (but have not yet had time to scan) the IBM PC Seminar Proceedings Volume 2, Number 8-1 (May 1985) on the PC Network. This 85 page document explains the session layer protocols (which IBM calls SMB - server message block). Included are session control commands, file commands, print commands, and message commands, each with program examples. I assume this document is available from normal IBM channels, but the address on the last page is IBM Corporation Editor, IBM Personal Computer Seminar Proceedings 4629 Post Office Box 1328 Boca Raton, FL 33432 -- SUPERCHICKEN
