Microsoft is not at fault if you do not have VDISK, it is the company who made the licence agreement with Microsoft that is at fault. MSDOS varies quite widely amongst the different machines that support DOS. For instance, the DOS backup command works very different if you bought a Corona, when comared to a Zenith, and when compared to a real IBMPC.
