It is on the market, at least in NY, under the brand name 'Combat'. It comes in little plastic things that you are supposed to put in strategic places in your house. It is very effective. Sodium Fluoride was once used as a home insecticide (Roach Nots). It worked better than boric acid, but I guess that they don't sell it as an insecticide anymore because of its higher toxicity to people. (or do they?)
