The repeat articles and Unknown@decwrl are all coming from HP; check the Path headers; some of them are really strange. The repeats of old articles all come from hpitg; their paths indicate that hpitg is directly connected to hundreds of machines. Greg Fowler @ hplabs tells me they've disconnected hpitg until they can figure out what the problem is. Apparently hplabs and other hp sites have been experimenting with some new "notes" software. As far as I know, hplabs is the only backbone site running notes. Notes is so different from news (especially for followups) that I'm surprised it works as well as it does. If I were a net.god I'd ban notes from the net. -- - Joe Buck {ihnp4!pesnta,oliveb}!epimass!jbuck Entropic Processing, Inc., Cupertino, California Better living through entropy!
