As of Friday, May 2, Amtrak discontinued the Montreal/Springfield
portion of the "Montrealer" with the train running only between
Springfield and Washington.  The sleeping car and "Piano Car"
were also dropped.

This action was taken due to the continuing strike on the B&M.
It will be restored when the strike ends.

This was reported by the Sunday Boston Globe, May 4.
