Clearly, the first step has to be to teach the teachers. Unfortunately, this is made difficult by the prevailing irrational ethical and moral ideas of our culture. A massive remedial educational effort would be required by proponents of rationality, but there don't seem to be enough of them (certainly not many with media coverage or in key governmental positions). In the long run, the human race will get what it deserves; I'm afraid this will be much less than some individual members merit.
