Is there public domain software that allows VMS to read and write
UNIX tar tapes?  The VMS is on a VAX 780, and I think the VMS is
version 4.1 or 4.2 or something like that.

By the way, I don't think they have a C compiler on the system,
so I'd need either Fortran source (!) or an executable.
