THE PROBLEM:
My current attempt at putting up a window and associated scroll bar 
is not working : i open the window and the scroll bars flash on and 
then off (and i am left looking at a window without scroll bars).  
If i open the window and keep my finger on the mouse button the 
scroll bars remain there until i take my finger off the button.  

I am looking for an example of C source code of a window with scroll 
bars written for the macintosh.  

Any help would be appreciated.
