We are currently about to bring up Ingres on our Masscomp 5500.
Initially we will try under 2.2a, but in a couple weeks I will
bring up 3.0 and 3.0a.

If any of you have had any success, partial success, or are wont
to convey any pithy horror stories, please let me know before
I sink into the unknowable mire.

[moderator's note: having done alot of this on Sun's, I would strongly
suggest that you install 3.0a before proceeding. The ucb universe will
save alot of headaches. Also, there was some information recently in
net.database on adapting Ingres that will be VERY useful. Contact me
if you need that article. -sob]
