I am supposed to come up with a scheme to hook several Macs up over an Appletalk network for them to 1) send electronic mail to each other, and 2) share (or at least transfer) files. The Macs that I have on Appletalk don't even seem to be aware of each other, although all the other devices (Imagewriter, LaserWriters) show up. Is there any way to make them see each other? If any of you have used any software packages that allow electronic mail or file transfer between Macs, or if you know of any file-server packages (whether or not they require extra hardware), could you drop me a line giving me names, prices, opinions, recommendations, etc? I would really appreciate any help I get. Please send mail to me, since I don't read this group. Thanks a lot! Susan Richter richter@rand-unix.arpa ...trwrb!randvax!richter
