For design we are using Sun3/160s off a VAX8600 running Ultrix1.2 and using the UCB and UW VLSI tools. We're pretty much set on the design end and will be fabricating through MOSIS. However, not much thought has been put into a testing facility. (I'm the only one working on it) I would appreciate any info I could receive from others doing similar work on what they are doing for testing. I would like to get something similar to a Teradyne J941, however, as is typical acadaemia, we don't have 1.5meg to drop on one. Less expensive alternatives? Companies friendly to institutions of high learning? Any partnerships possible in development of testing products in exchange for price breaks? Or any body want to make an out right gift? :-) :-) We also have a VALID system with REALFAST and REALCHIP. Anybody with experience on these machines know if they're good for doing any testing after fabrication or not? I'm on UUCP
