Message-ID: <1382@mtx5a.UUCP> Date: Tue, 1-Jul-86 10:47:20 EDT Article-I.D.: mtx5a.1382 Posted: Tue Jul 1 10:47:20 1986 Date-Received: Thu, 3-Jul-86 23:22:34 EDT Distribution: na Organization: AT&T, Middletown, NJ Lines: 19 I have noticed that the prices of Compact Discs are creeping up. "Tape Worm" used to sell all CDs for $12.99. Then they added some that sold for $13.99. Now they sell all discs for $13.99, and their selection is poor. "Record World" used to run sales on CDs for $12.99. Now some are on sale for $15.99. Their regular price has creeped up to $18.99. What's going on here? I thought all those new CD factories, along with bulging inventories of "junk" CDs would cause lower pricing. I get cold feet at the check-out counter when the price exceeds $13.99; I always put it back in the rack, go home, and listen to my old discs. -- \\\ \\\\ Art Stadlin \\\\\\________!{akgua,ihnp4,houxm}!mtx5a!ahs
