Specifically, I wish to know what people's experiences with the language have been like. To date, I have received two responses. This is not quite what I was hoping for. For this reason, I am posting the request again, in the hope that it will shake some more people out of the woodwork. I need to know the following: o What made you decide to develop in C++? o What features of C++ are most useful? o What features (or bugs) of C++ are most troublesome? o Does it take more or less time to develop applications? o Do you spend more or less time maintaining the software? o Does it take more or less time to bring new developers up to speed? o Is the lack of support from AT&T a serious drawback? o Will you continue to use C++? o Would you recommend the language to other developers? Please, PLEASE, *PLEASE* answer these questions if you can. Send responses to me by e-mail, and I will be most happy to summarize for the net. [ aside to Bjarne Stroustrup: I realize that you will avoid answering this request for fear of being labelled a self-advertiser, but if you know of any sites that might be persuaded to provide me with some useful information, I would be most appreciative ] ------------------------------------------------------------ Elias Israel VenturCom, Inc Cambridge, Mass.
