I do not care if my Amiga software ever runs on another machine - there just aren't any around today that I even care about besides the Amiga. So if the Amiga is where all software is going to be ported to, why worry about things like 16 bit or 8 bit machines and their LIMITATIONS? The main remaining question is whether this style of software will be difficult to get running on the A-5000 (or whatever) that will be available in 5 years.
