    I hope someone can answer these for me (please!):
    
    How can I make backup copies of Final Word (the copy protection
    gets in the way)?  The add-on manual says I can....

You can copy the files individually.  This will involve an inordinate
amount of disk swapping unless you have two drives or a RAM disk.
You will still need to insert one of the original disks as a key
when loading Final Word.
