When you scroll, the status line goes 'winging' on up the screen (delete lines) then heads back down to the bottom (insert lines). This is so annoying to me that I just put the disk away and went back to using MegaMax's editor (which is REAL pain as well). Has anyone put ST specific screen IO into a uemacs? Speaking of MegaMax's editor.... does anyone else feel that when you use CURSOR keys, it's the *CURSOR* that should move? In case you haven't seen this *GEM* of an editor (pun intended) the cursor keys move the screen, leaving the text cursor where ever it happens to be. And that includes when the cursor is OFF the screen!! The ONLY way the position the cursor is to point and 'click'. Hunky dory aye? Sheesh..... Anyone recommend a really great editor... like one that allows lines > 80 columns 8^). -- Jeff Gortatowsky {allegra, seismo}!rochester!kodak!elmgate!jdg Eastman Kodak Company
