The people at Solar Powered Software, 1807 N. Evergreen, Chandler, AZ 85224,
make a set of products that includes a crt saver.  After the keyboard has
been inactive for about a minute, the crt goes black.  This function can be
disabled if you want.

I recommend that you go for the whole set, which is called SolaPak.  In
addition to the crt saver, it includes an auto-booting ramdisk of adjustable
size (by editing a text file) and a print spooler/formatter.
