It seems that by time I got the cadenza.uue file to my machine all of the trailing blanks had been striped off. These are important to the version of uudecode I have. The file should have the first line with 'begin' the mode and the filename fillowed by a newline only. The last line should contain 'end' followed by the newline. All of the other lines should be blank filled to the same length. (Strictly speaking the last couple of lines are shorter, but that is unimportant.) So to get the program to run you should either blank fill the lines using an editor or fix your uudecode to supplyu| the trailing blanks as required. Anyhow have fun, it seems to work just fine now. /bill {the blank eater strikes again ...}
