I'm trying to do some MIDI programming on the Mac and would appreciate
responses from anyone with experience in this area.  Some questions:

1) Can the standard Mac serial driver be used to drive the MIDI interface
or is separate driver software required? I've tried to set the ROM driver
to MIDI's 31.25 Khz but had no luck.

2) I heard there was a semi-technical article on MIDI programming in the
April '85 MacTutor.  Any addresses, phone numbers, etc. for sources for
MacTutor (or for contacting the magazine's staff) would be helpful.
