Using FONTastic 2.3 with a Mac Plus is guaranteed to give zany results, though I don't know if font names are among them. Altsys didn't claim compatibility with Mac Plus until version 2.6. However, I've found Version 2.7 to be buggy. In addition, note carefully that you shouldn't use Mac Plus-compatible versions to work with the System file - you should use the Font/DA Mover to do that. Personally, I think that with Mac Plus, FONTastic is not a product yet, which is too bad because it used to be a very reliable and well-designed one. Their manpower resources must be committed to Fontographer. . . Altsys will upgrade your FONTastic for $8 if you send in your old disk, or $10 if you don't but they have you registered. -Brian Diehm Tektronix, Inc.
