Message-ID: <101@ichaya.UUCP> Date: Thu, 26-Jun-86 15:15:16 EDT Article-I.D.: ichaya.101 Posted: Thu Jun 26 15:15:16 1986 Date-Received: Sat, 28-Jun-86 03:22:44 EDT Lines: 17 I'm in the process of writing a file compression program for the Mac. Currently, I hacked together some code to compress/decomress a given fork. Now, I have to find out how to get at the file's "information block", so I can squirrel it away for use during file decompression. What I would like to know is this: Given the fact that I can compress the data and resource forks of a file, what other file descriptor information do I have to get at to create a compressed "backup" of the file? Also, what calls will I have to use to get at the information? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Bob Russes ...!decvax!ichaya!russes
