some people have asked for the names and phone numbers of
the pc/at clone sources that i wrote about in a previous
article.  so here they are:
	micro 1 in san francisco  415-435-8222
	qsp in san jose 408-435-8222
you can find both their ads in the 6/24 issue of pc week.

i bought my machines from micro 1.  i went there last
tuesday to pick up the first one after i had been assured
the previous day by the salesperson that the machine would be 
ready.  well, the machine was not there and they said
that they had been caught up in a big order and probably
shipped my machine somewhere else.  i told them that
i did not want to make another trip so they should ship
it to me.  the shipment was promised for yesterday and
then today, both promises unfulfilled.  now i have their
promise for tomorrow.  we'll see.  it may be that it
really was a period of unusual demand for them; the
salesperson was really apologetic.  but if the machines
are not shipped tomorrow, i'll probably be thinking
that this their normal mode of operation.

if there is interest, i will post my impressions of this
machine after i have used it for a couple of weeks.
