Lines: 26 I tried to port this to several different PC's, all to no avail. I'll tell you what I did and maybe somebody can tell me what I did wrong. 1. Remove the mailer info from both files. 2. use cat to combine into one file. 3. use uudecode (Berkeley 4.2 UNIX) to create emacs.exe 4. use kermit image mode to transfer emacs.exe to a PC. 5. try to run on several PC's. The only one that came close was my own machine. It is a clone that has both a Hercules-like monochrome graphics card and an IBM-like color graphics card. I have two monitors: monochrome and RGB. I bring the system up on the monochrome card and then say "mode co80". When I then run emacs, it types the letter C on the color monitor and them quits. Somebody might say that it is because it's a clone and the graphics is different or the BIOS is different or something. However, I have written my own screen handling routines in Microsoft C 3.0 and have NO problems in either color or mono modes. Must have done something wrong on the UNIX end(?) Any ideas, anybody?
