I am interested in relatively inexpensive speed-up boards for the
IBM PC (with EGA).  I've seen a couple recently that looked
attractive:
  Surprise  from Maynard @ $249
  SuperCharger  from Dynatec Systems  @299

What I'd like to know is:

Are there any reviews in print?  Has anyone had any personal
experience with these boards?

What compatibility is sacrificed?

The prices shown are list.  Are there cheaper sources?
