We are going to buy an inexpensive laser printer, mainly to
do fast manuscript printing for IBM PC's.  I would like to
get one that I could also hook to my Masscomp Unix system
with a serial line (4800 baud) for use with troff.

I wonder: (1) Which laser printers have inspired good
public-domain troff filters?  (2) Which can do at least the
basic 4 fonts in at least a few sizes.

I do not normally read this group (which, in part, accounts
for the ignorance I have probably displayed in the above
questions!): replies, please, by mail.
