For all I know it may be part of some new UNIX release. I was a beta-site for it. The new release does contain an ARGC, ARGV argument passing mechanism, as well as many bug fixes (I/O redirection and pipes now works properly), user definable functions, improved error handling and diagnostics, performance improvments, and the ability to "compile" awk programs to make them run real fast. I don't know to official status of this, like whether its finished yet or still in testing, but I liked it. No, I can't mail you my copy, but you can try official channels (exptools, TOAD, AT&T Tool Chest, your AT&T Sales Rep., or whatever).
