(Which the kernel group fixed before I signed the paperwork to ship the release.) Hardware crashes are another story. I don't have a UPS, and it's hardly Unix's fault that someone plugs too much stuff in and throws the circuit breaker. I haven't lost any files, at any rate. (And yes, fsck runs automatically when the machine comes up, unless it was run as part of a clean powerdown.)
