Killer Robots: I would hesitate to arm robots with deadly weapons, especially when they can act independently. I suggest using non-lethal weapons like tear gas, rubber bullets or the Tazer(sp?) electric shock gun. [I wouldn't want a robot with a submachine gun loaded with rubber bullets after me - it wouldn't be much different in the long run than having 'real' bullets. There are some interesting projects going on in the DoD (the ? joint armed forces technological weaponry project ? including a self-guided Tank, and such) that are relevent to this issue... --Dave] Dave Newkirk, ihnp4!ihuxl!dcn
