6 months ago we switched to 6250 drives. backup time was cut in half,
and of course we require a much smaller number or tapes. even so, a high-
speed high-density medium such as optical disk would be preferred, since
we have 6GB to back up, and that number will certainly increase.

by the way, the Kennedy 6250 drives have thus far been quite reliable.
