According to the catalog, this program lets you dedicate a Macintosh to serving as the gateway between Unix and Appletalk (for printing only). The Macintosh is connected to the Appletalk network, and its communication port is connected to an RS232 printer port on a Unix machine. The Macintosh receives print files from the Unix system, pretends to be a printer, and then prints the files on the Appletalk-connected LaserWriter. If this works as advertised it is a brilliant solution to a thorny problem, although a dedicated Macintosh costs about 1/3 the price of a new LaserWriter.
