It turns out that SHOW PROCESS/CHANNEL works just fine for files on local disks, but there is a bug that prevents SDA from displaying the names of files on HSC disks, according to TSC. Weird. Anyway, if the file was opened by RMS (which is generally the case) SHOW PROCESS/RMS will tell the name, although you have to wade through pages and pages of other stuff to find it.
