Has anyone already written one that they are willing to share, or does anyone know of one in the public domain? I am hoping to have the emulator work with the CGA board first, and later with the EGA board. Thanks for any suggestions. Joel) Subject: Need Beta Testers for Educational Software NOTICE: ====== I have recently completed the first release version of an educational graphics package called GRAPHIX. Therefore, I am in need of several beta testers. GRAPHIX requires an IBM PC with a minimum of 256K RAM, a Color/Graphics adapter and an IBM or Hewlett-Packard plotter. As a beta tester you will be given the most current version of GRAPHIX, a manual, a set of forms to fill out and a self-addressed stamped envelope to return it all in. If you are interested, contact: William J. Joel Division of Computer Science & Math Marist College Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 (914) 471-3240 x432 or x371 JZEM@MARIST.BITNET Please note, that because of the educational nature of the software, I will only accept educators as testers; no administrators or students. Thank you. ------------------------------ From: cdx39!news%rclex.UUCP@harvard.HARVARD.EDU Date: Thu, 26 Jun 86 11:20:00 edt Subject: Test of path to mod.graphics This is a test to see if we can reach the moderator for mod.graphics via the path: rclex!harvard!info-graphics@aids-unix.arpa Please let me know if this works. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 25 Jun 86 10:33:54 PDT From: rex@USGS3-VMS.ads.arpa Subject: Computer graphics -> videotape info needed We are currently drawing frames of a sand-dune migration simulation on a laser printer and photographing them frame-by-frame with a movie camera. Facilities currently available are: DEC VAX 11/750 + 4.2 BSD Unix; several Tektronix terminals, Apple Laser Writer, Imagen 8/300 laser printer, CalComp 36" wide plotter, 2 SUN-100 workstations with RS-232 connections to the VAX. We want to find some way of going directly to videotape. We cannot do this in real-time as each frame takes 10 minutes to 3 hours to compute; even precomputing and sending to a SUN screen (as a Tektronix file) takes about 30 seconds per frame. Can anyone point us to information on a direct computer graphics to videotape pathway? Specific information on equipment (vendors, prices, etc. ) is useful, as well as more general information such as magazine articles, book references, etc. Emphasize lowest cost solutions, please. -- Rex Sanders REX@MENLO.ARPA (415) 856-7052 U.S. Geological Survey ------------------------------ End of INFO-GRAPHICS ********************
