Especially if it had a built in rechargeable battery. But I do not want a trashy piece of equipment. 2) I am buying my own headphones separately. 3) I need it convenient to use at work (on a desk) 4) I realize that there are a number of differences between the low cost portables and the component variety. I would like the digital filter, non-multiplexed D to A, etc... but I do not know how much these impact the *moderately* serious listener. 5) I would like to spend between $150 and $275. I would appreciate any advice that people can give me.
