         It is a good idea. Though I don't have any background in
micro-biology or bitech., I am right now actively invloved in
storage and retrieval of nucleic acid sequence data.    

        After a name for mailing list is decided; I shall announce
the existence of this mailing list on BITNET. As far as the name
of mailing list is concerned, I prefer "net.biotech" or "biotech".
 
        Mailing list can be easily maintained by using "alias" command,
it can be found in the manual pages of mail(MAN MAIL).
