I think the ideal for me would be somewhere in the middle of the following ranges: 1972 - 1980 R75, 90, 100 $1500 - $2500 I'm not very knowledgable about them, and would love your advice. I expect to do some touring, some commuting between Berkeley and SF, and some local (i.e. 5 - 10 mile trip) driving. I've heard that 90s are less smooth than 75s and that 100s are rougher still. Is true? Are any years much better/worse than others? Any general advice on what to look for and/or look out for?
