Gould's UTX-32 (a BSD 4.2 port) calls it /etc/modcap It's always been my gripe that BSD 4.2 didn't have generic dialing routines. Now it seems obvious that there is no std. modem capabilities file, so one's been invented for Ultrix, UTX, Honey DanBer, etc. etc. If you're looking for PD modem dialer description, try the C-kermit. It covers a number of systems. -- Joel West (619) 457-9681 CACI, Inc. Federal, 3344 N.
