Is there one?  :-)  But seriously, you must have awful unlucky
friends, or they're doing something wrong.  Like leaving their
doors unlocked, exercising in front of the picture window, I
don't know.  Things like that don't happen to normal people with
the frequency you imply.  Even in Santa Monica.  (Especially
not in Mountain View.)  The folks overseas must think we live
in a combat zone.

Not to say I don't believe in taking preventive measures, (like
owning and knowing how to use a firearm) but hey, it's 8:15 A.M.
and I haven't shot at anyone all day!  :-)
