Thank you whoever you are for the helpful reply on the problems I'd experienced
with the ST/GEM user interface.  The standard user interface dialog boxes can 
be modified to correct some of the ambiguities I've seen; however, I assume that
most people will still use the standard boxes unless they're strongly inclined
to write the necessary replacement code.
