Are there any sources for parts for a DG1 other than Data General?
 I need to replace the screen.  (It was broken during shipping.)  DG
wants $600 for the screen (the newest, backlit version) and $800 for
just the display panel.  I'm still waiting for an exact answer, but it
seems I can ship the whole machine to them for repair for about $500.
With a price structure like that, you wonder how they stay in business.
I can't believe there isn't a cheaper source for a replacement screen.
