Rouse 106 Rubin Ct Apt A-4 Cary, NC 27511 He will ship the latest STABLE copy of Kermit to anyone for $6.00 US. Note that he has been continually improving Kermit on the Amiga (the upcomming version I have seen working is excellent - Uses the AmigaDOS CON: window but still does single character I/O to and from it!) but has made sure a version is stable before shipping it. ***Minor flame on*** Why shouldn't people go straight to the source for the software. There is no problem of availability PLUS you are guarenteed of getting the latest version. Fred Fish is probably an exception as he is providing an Organization and pseudo-documentation of the disks. I know that with HACK, almost all of the IRATE or RUDE phone calls (yes I get them at 3:00 AM too) are from people who downloaded it from a bulletin board or got it from a club librarians who downloaded it but failed to include all the files (or make sure the latest version was set up correctly). If you offer to do something like sending out software then you should be willing to put your name on it and support it, not pass the burden onto someone else for problems introduced in the process. ***Minor flame off*** I have nothing against offerring to redistribute software (Lord knows that HACK wouldn't be so widely distributed if that were so) I am just opposed to doing it where the SAME audience would be reached - Jack Rouse is on USENET too. Going to the source eliminates any confusion over the latest version (how many people have the OFFICIAL source to HACK?) and works out best in the long run. -- John A.
