Lines: 46 I just called the ``tech support hotline'' of Skyles Electric Works. Talk about a bunch of jerks. Mind you, my previous flames have been based on objective grounds but these guys just plain piss me off. First of all, they advertise a ``1.05Megabyte'' and a ``2.15Megabyte'' side mounted expansion board. Is this obnoxious or what? Anyone who knows what a megabyte is knows that it is more than 1 million bytes. Gimme a break, 1.05 megabytes Sheesh. Then, their prices. A summer sale they say (in AmigaWorld)? 1000.00 for a two meg board? Who are they kidding? Summer Sale? Sheesh. And better yet - I call the hot line - I get someone to talk to. The con- versation went like this. blah blah blah, their products haven't actually been produced yet blah blah bla Me: Can you tell me how much current your boards draw? They: Less than .5 Amps. Me: Is that the one meg board or two meg board. They: The two meg board. Me: Really, less than .5 amps for a two meg board. Do you use CMOS then? They: No. Regular chips. Me: I would have thought the current draw would be much higher than that. That's interesting. They: That's your problem. Me: Wo. Look, I'm calling to ask some basic questions. Don't take my comments as derogatory. I don't mean them that way, Ok? They: You know, I really don't want to have a design discussion. I just don't. Alright? We are talking about advertised vaporware at premium prices and they have the gall to have an attitude problem? Right guys, I'll be first in line to buy from you. Right. Sheesh.
