In addition, it performs great on my phone line which is plagued by RFI from a nearby AM broadcast transmitter. I can plainly hear the radio over the phone, yet I've had no noise hits at all with the Avatex, which I can't say for at least two other modems I tried (Anchor Express, Multitech 1200). For $85, you can hardly go wrong. I say buy it. - Michel
