Simple.  On the diagnostics disk that comes with the machine, select the
hard disk format option.  It will look at the disk, see that it is not
one that it already knows about, and then ask you questions about how
many cylinders, etc. the drive has.  I put a 1/2 height 40M drive
in my 7300 without any problems.  Much faster than the clunker 20M that
was in it previously.
