PLUS-20 and PLUS-30 by Peak Systems, Austin TX PL-20, PL-30 by Peripheral Land, Santa Clara CA I am considering buying one, probably a 30 mb, but have heard enough to suggest that not all HD's are created equal. Both claim "Plated media for longer life" and "quiet" fan (Peak notes theirs runs on DC). The Peak offers a daisy-chaining SCSI port (I don't know if that's unusual). Also, a friend says Apple's September announcement of a new HD (presumably a SCSI drive)will start a price war among 3rd party drives, but I'm not sure I can wait that long...
