How does one get Maze Wars to work properly?

I can get it running on 2 Mac+ machines linked by Appletalk. Although
the mazes are the same, you never see the other person as an eyeball.

Perhaps my copy is 'broken'.  If someone knows a fix or has a working
copy, please send it to me.
