Thanks to all who answered my question about Microsoft File.

The question:  How to save records in an ascii format.

The answer:  Save As [TEXT]  produces a tab delimited field, cr
delimited record, file.

All fine.  I'll go back to the fellow with the MAC and tell him what to
do.
